Why Tunisia should still be positive
Yes Dos Santos may not be available for at least one game. However, Dos Santos is Tunisia’s Wayne Rooney, he is not Tunisia’s Shevchenko. What I mean by that is Rooney for england is one of 8 players that are basically as valuable as him. Shevchenko is all you hear about in Ukraine and is the factor many people list as the reason Ukraine will beat Tunisia. The Ukraine blogger knows that Ukraine is more then just Shevchenko, however it does make sense to say that he is head and shoulders abover 90 percent of the players on that team.
Tunisias depth is its strength, though i admit Dos Santos is our best striker and finisher. As is Rooney the best striker in England, however when all pieces of the puzzle are strong, you never have to rely on one too much.
I think all Tunisian fans should stay positive, because the strength of Tunisia is in the whole team not one player, that is why when you read different sites profiling the Tunisian team they always mention a different player as the key player, where as if you read about Ukraine, it is one name mentioned Shevchenko .
Tunisia strength also lies in its mystery to people who are not African. They are stronger then the last 2 world cups and I hope that is proven. No one said anything about Senegal before last years world cup either but they performed extrememly well. They are still considered stronger then Tunisia and yes Tunisia has beaten them since. I do respect all the African teams for the fearlessness it takes to outperform expectations in a world cup. I hope Tunisia bring this fearlessness like Senegal, Cameroon , and Nigeria before them

I agree….but I pray that Santos will be fit to play….he might not be theyre shevshenko, but he is one of the main parts of this Voltron that Tunisia has put together

“Voltron”? Funny, Malik!
Bessam, do you think Dos Santos will be back for the second match?

There’s conflicting reports about the severity of the injury. Some say one game, some say one game with the possiblity of more. I think that Bessam’s prediction that he’ll be a shock inclusion at gametime might be spot on. Lemerre initially said the injury was something Santos had been coping with for a “fortnight” and that it “was not that serious.” Maybe there are some mind games being played with the Saudis. In any case, I still think we can beat them without him. Spain might be a trickier proposition.

i dont think that our team is in trouble if dos santos will not play. we have a team and I hope that we will do something good
Dali from Finland

lemerre played down the injuries to both jomaa and meriah but later had to announce that there was a problem. in that light, i think the santos injury looks pretty serious.
