TV7 Pays a Visit to Youssef Msakni’s House
Props to “Footn” for posting the video. This will be most appreciated by those Arabic speakers out there as there is more talking then soccer going on. The brief segment that aired on TV7 is one in which a camera crew pays a visit to Youssef Msakni’s house in Tunis. Those following the U17 World Cup probably know who he is already as he is one of only six players at the tournament with three goals or more. It starts out with an interview with the youngster and then moves on to his family back in Tunis watching the Tajikistan game. What’s funny about the whole thing is that it’s clear from their reactions that the match has already taken place and they know the result (not the first time TV7 has done this). While the reactions may be fake, it is clear that the families love for their very own soccer star is anything but. They are genuinely proud of him. His older brother admits to being a little jealous but still maintains that since it’s his brother he can only be happy for him. His mother hasn’t watched a live game yet because she gets too nervous… They’ve won every single one of those so I hope she doesn’t decide to watch the France game tomorrow morning
Best of luck to our Eaglets tomorrow!
There’s sadder news unrelated to Tunisia that should be mentioned nevertheless. Spanish international and Sevilla player Antonio Puerta passed away last night, three days after his collapse in the match against Getafe. This is terrible news regarding such a promising young guy (he was only 22) that truly had a bright future ahead of him. My thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends as well as all Sevilla and Spanish fans. It is a brutal loss for the football community as a whole. RIP Antonio…

did you end up finding a way to watch or matchcast the match thamer? i’m really sorry i didn’t take a look at the blog during halftime or something because i had the same problem as you but i found a link on a tunisie-foot.com forum that led me to a program called viper tv player. it was a pretty frantic few minutes when i realized channelsurfing.net wasn’t streaming the match. terribly sorry about that man, i know how frustrating it can be to miss a match you’re looking forward to as i’ve been there myself. anyways, i won’t go into the details of the game since you may not have seen it yet. i’ll post about it a lil later. for future reference here’s a link to the program. eurosport, eurosport 2, and the espn360’s should be carrying the rest of the games.

sorry again for not thinking of providing earlier when it would have been more useful. hope you found a way to catch the game regardless…
