Tunisia Yellow Cards

Yellow Card

Does it seem a little extreme to anyone that Tunisia has 10 players carrying yellow cards. So many cards were distributed to Tunisia it was like Christmas out there. I grant you Tunisia can make reckless tacklesss and play with a desperation that can make the tackles look pretty bad. Id say maybe 6 would be a fair number but not 10.

Huh? You think people should not get yellow cards just because their team already has yellow cards? That’s absurd. If the refs followed this logic, teams would be rewarded for fouling a lot because refs wouldn’t give them more cards on top of those already earned. I’ve only watched Tunisia v. Spain and they earned every single one of those cards. In fact, the ref was pulling one out in the second half and he put it away when he realized that the player in question already had one. That’s bullshit. If he tackles studs up and he already has a yellow, send him off!

Fair enough. I guess some players know how to handle themselves with more self control but overall in this tournament so far ive seen quite a few unwarranted cards but maybe this way refs can keep things from getting really ugly.

wow, Tunisia got 6 bookings in that game, they better watch their foul play or else they’ll be 1 man short… and i thought Ukraine took too many (3)

Apparently FIFA was very clear before the tourney started that they were going to card hard tackles from the back. Once it’s been made clear how the matches are going to be officiated it’s up to coaches and players to adjust. Against Spain Tunisia was playing Italian-style rough defense, the kind that is always on the edge of a yellow. Thankfully, this year that kind of play is not being rewarded.

Wouldn’t you rather see teams play beautiful football?

Did you notice that specially this year, refs are likely against African teams. Come on gyes! It was very clear to every body. Have a look at Togo Swizerland game, Adebayor erned two clear penalties. I watched all games in Swiss TV and even them , they mentioned this fact. You can see clearly double standards in every single game which involved african teams. I’m so disgusted from FIFA , who claims “Say no to racism” Only slogans!

It obvious in this WC the refs have a fast trigger, mostly to protect super star players and not players from Tunisia and from other non- contenders teams! of course it’s all in the eyes of the beholder but it seemed to me and to other Swiss fans watching the game on TV, the Bresilian ref was a little bias toward Spain and their big name players. Puyol should have had at least 3 yellow cards but no ref will kick him out because he’s pujol. Anyway, giving the game to a latino ref was not kosher…

The world cup truly will test the depth of many teams reserve players since many starters are facing suspension
