Tunisia Name Squad for Serbia Friendly

Bordeaux striker David Jameli is the only new face on the Tunisia team that will taken on Serbia and Montenegro in a friendly on March 1. Roger Lemerre has opted to go with his experienced unit against the fellow World Cup qualifier. Whether Jameli actually sees playing time is hard to guess since Lemerre has called up fellow strikers Zied Jaziri and Silva Dos Santos. My guess is that we might see Jameli as a late game substitute.

Serbia and Montenegro should present a tough challenge for Tunisia. The Serb defense is very solid and the team is quite physical. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the lads bounce back after the disappointment of the African Cup of Nations.

Here’s the complete squad:

Goalkeepers: Ali Boumnijel (Club Africain), Hamdi Kasraoui (Esperance).

Defenders: Hatem Trabelsi (Ajax Amsterdam), Karim Saidi (Lecce), Radhi Jaidi (Bolton Wanderers), Karim Hagui (Strasbourg), Jose Clayton (El Qatari), Alaeddine Yahia (St- Etienne).

Midfielders: Chawki Ben Saada (Bastia, France), Adel Chedli (Nuremberg), Kais Ghodhbane (Samsunspor, Turkey), Sofiane Militi (Kazintap, Turkey), Jawher Mnari (Nuremberg), Riadh Bouazizi (Kazintap, Turkey ), Hamed Namouchi (Glasgow Rangers), Karim Essidiri (FC Tromso, Norway).

Strikers: David Jameli (Bordeaux), Zied Jaziri (Troyes), Silva Dos Santos (Toulouse).

I am very excited to attend this match. It will be my first International soccer game to see live. People here are very excited about the new player Jameli, I hope he gets some playing time.
