Tunisia fly to Germany

June 5th, 2006 | By: Bessam | No Comments »

The Tunisian team was cheered by fans as they were in Tunis Carthage airport on their way to Germany Today. The team is focused and in good spirits and hopefully they will have success and cheering fans when they return home to Tunis. Ali Boumnijel, tunisian goalkeepr and oldest player at this years world cup (40 yrs old) is optimistic

Also Tunisia has scheduled a friendly on June 7th against New Zealand as a final warm up to the World cup. Since Iraq, Kuwait and Bahrain have all turned down invitations to play Tunisia for various reasons.
Tunisia will then have one final week to prepare for their first match against fellow arabs Saudi Arabia.

There is also anothe good article about the love of tunisian fans for the National team( the title of this artical is misleading though).

I feel like the team is going to the World cup expecting results instead of hoping for them, and playing to win instead of playing not to loose. One thing is certain Tunisia is at least better then everyone thinks and they will show quality that is for sure.
