The Sahel Region Before Kickoff
Here’s a video that shows the pre-game preparations and enthusiasm before last week’s Champions League Final first leg. Practically all Tunisians were (and are) behind L’Etoile but this video focuses on the areas surrounding Sousse. Some pretty funny moments, I especially like the kid who refers to Saber Ben Fraj as “our ghost” or “shaba7″ in arabic. Looks like he’s growing up quick! The pregame excitement sharply contrasts with the disappointment that some fans exhibit after the game. It’s not the time to feel sorry for the team though, they will have the away goals rule going in their favor if they manage to break the deadlock on Friday. Inshallah Marbou7a!

The Club Athletique Bizertin faces Al Faisal of Jordan in the second round of the Arab Champions League today. Apparently Bizerte is living it up before the game too. Hopefully we’ll get some videos of that encounter as well. With our teams playing in so many big competitions, it’s a good time to be a fan of Tunisian soccer. Let’s hope the results follow…
