That’s Why They Call Him Chi-kha-oui (he’s back, he’s back)
Ok not sure that title even makes sense but for those who were fans of Eminem circa 2000 it might ring a bell. Honestly though, the title is besides the point.
The point is that after making a successful comeback on April 26th in his team’s 3-0 win over Young Boys and then playing a small role in his team’s 1-1 draw versus Lucerne on Saturday, Yassine Chikhaoui needed only 20 minutes of action today to record his first assist and first goal of the season.
Better yet, the win puts his team within three points of the Swiss Axpo League title. Chi5a came in when the score was 3-3 and showed us what the true meaning of the word “decisive” is by assisting on the go ahead goal with a pinpoint defense splitting pass and sealing the deal after lovely build up play on the right flank between him and Schonbachler. With performances like this, his return to the national team is only a matter of time. Humberto Coelho can consider himself lucky to have someone with this type of talent at his disposal.
Moral of the story: FC Zurich is better with Chikhaoui, Tunisia is better with Chikhaoui, life… is better with Chikhaoui. So congratulations to number 17 for his patience and perseverance over the last 13 months and best wishes for the future. If anyone deserves it, its him.
Download Highlights here, stream here, or those outside Tunisia can just check the embedded video I uploaded to youtube below. Enjoy!
ps: The match also featured a goal by another of our Tunisian representatives in Switzerland, Fakhreddine Galbi who used to play at US Monastir.
pps: Special thanks to Yassine from Forum Koora Tounsia for posting the highlights with a quickness! We all appreciate it a lot!

Abdullah are you sure he’s half Tunisian? i mean wikipedia claims not you
. I can’t seem to find any interviews that claims Bouzidi to be tunisian decent.

His parents are both Tunisian, he even has Tunisia tattoo’d on the left side of his chest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuNTGFKKRvo&fmt=18

This is the worst list I have ever seen for a National Team. I dont even think this will be close to the list of players for Mozambique and Nigeria game (at least it better not). I think Coelho might just be awarding the Esperance players for their championship and others in the tunisian league so they would keep their heads up and keep fighting.
Why does Coelho love Selliti so much? If someone misses 3 easy oppurtunities like he had, he is not a NT Forward.
On the positive side, we will see Allagui at least play heavy minutes.

Hey Achraf, don’t worry man. This is not the list for Nigeria and Mozambique. It’s just because a lot of our expats have commitments with their club sides. I’ll post the list in a bit but if others want to take a look at it here it is:

Blog post coming either in a bit or later this afternoon depending on a number of factors (busy busy day).

Selliti in the team.Come on!Is khalfallah injuried or something.
I hoped Chikhaoui was called-up.Jaidi is in the team!Haggui is out the team.
I think that Coelho wants to let young players play to improve himsels and get a better club. But now are allot of injuries and allot of people that must to play a big game so I understand somethings.Lets hope the list for Mozambique is better.I am exited about the game,my stepfather is Sudanees!

haha, wow, i thought achraf was kidding, but that really is a bad list. w/e, we can still beat sudan with the best players from that list and im sure the european based talent wasnt called up because their seasons are still going on, the list will get better, im sure.

This game vs Sudan, is like an all star game for the Tunisian League, With the best players in the Tunisian League.
And Rami, is Dhouadi still injured?

Nope, he played 15 mins against Jendouba and looked perfectly fine. Not at his absolute best but that’s to be expected considering he wasn’t out for over a month. I understand him not making the list though. We need players who are all in their best form.
Feedi, that’s cool I’m sure it will be fun to watch the game with him then. Sudan has a very respectable team.
Thamer, the list isn’t as bad as you might think. Some of those players (US Monastir ones in particular) are really talented. It’s obviously not our strongest list but it should be interesting to say the least. I’m not a Korbi fan but I guess that’s mostly cuz I think he added pressure on himself and on his team with that “rouba3ia” talk. Nevertheless, it’ll be interesting to see how him and the Club Africain players get along in training and during the match if he plays. A chance for him to show he’s a professional… He’s got some skills and I like his aggression (something Esperance was desperately needing in previous years) but he need to work on his image a bit. It’s just an opinion…

Speaking of Sudan. Check this Sudanese guy imitating Issam Chawali. It’s on point: http://www.facebook.com/inbox/readmessage.php?t=1150276044942#/video/video.php?v=1146975028094&ref=nf

I agree with you Rami, I am not a fan of him and Chammam, I just can’t stand them, especially Korbi, he is not NT worthy and does not belong on it. He should learn from what happened to Ben freg, who is better then him and still not playing and haven’t heard from him in a while.

I think it’s a tactical move mostly by Coelho to incorporate local players, he knows he has to make the best of it so why not use players who are more addept to eachother, mix it up with the players who are available from Europe let them train and socialize for a couple of days and who knows what you might get.
Despite this surpriselist i must say im very excited to see it’s outcome, one fact is for sure those local players are going to work hard to prove themselfs

Also yeah your allright Selliti shouldn’t even have a chance imo, but if Coelho keeps selecting him then there must be a reason he keeps giving him chances, i guess we just have to wait for the day we get to see what he sees.

Thanks Abdullah.
