Serbia & Montenegro 1 Tunisia 0
March 1st, 2006 | By: WC Bob | No Comments »
The Carthage Eagles lost a tough one against a very physical and very good Serbia and Montenegro team 1-0. Mateja Kezman’s header in the 12th minute was the only goal of the evening. Serbia showed why its defense is considered one of the best in the world, effectively shutting down Tunisia’s attack. This was a bit of disappointing showing from Tunisia, but it isn’t the end of the world. It shows that the team will have to work harder to compete against European teams Spain and Ukraine at the World Cup. I’ll be interested in hearing Roger Lemerre’s thoughts on the game.
