Saidi Moves to Lecce

February 1st, 2006 | By: WC Bob | No Comments »

Tunisia defender Karim Saidi has been loaned to Lecce in Italy’s Serie A from Dutch side Feyenoord. The 22-year-old will stay in Italy until the end of the season and is looking forward to seeing increased playing time after only appearing in four games this season in Feyenoord.

“This is a good solution for me,” he said. “I’m moving to a top-class league and stay in the picture for the World Cup.”

Saidi was left off the African Nations Cup roster and will have his work cut out for him to make coach Roger Lemerre’s squad in Germany.
