Reaction to the round of 16

My predictions were correct 6 out of 8 times with Portugal and Ukraine going beyond my expectations.

Most Entertaining matches of the round of 16 : Arg. vs. Mex. , Por. vs. Ned , Spain v. France

Best Referees: The Argentina Mexico Referee, the France Spain Referee, and the Switzerland vs Ukraine Ref

All of these referees allowed the player to play competitivly, talked with the players, and made the players apologize. I think however the best was Massimo BUSACCA. They should allow him to continue doing his job and hopefully referee the final.

WORST REF: Valentin IVANOV from the Portugal Netherlands game, yes the game was rough and dirty but, way too many cards. I think Ivanov should be a card dealer at a cassino because he distributes the cards so well.

Most entertaining players: Ribery: France, Messi: Argentina , those 2 can do magic with the ball / Honorable mention to Ukraine goalkeep Shovkovsky for catching 2 penalties during the match with Switszerland

Well we have a 2 days rest without any football. I dont know what i am going to do withmyself, ive gotten so used to it . Please give us your thoughts

This WC is sooooo addictive. I can’t think of not waking up to turn on a game!

I agree that the Argentina vs Mexico game was the best followed by Spain vs France.

The Holland vs Portugal game would have been so much more fun if the game had not got out of control as the players decided to takle each other and not the ball and the ref did not have the presence to make the game flow properly and the coaches did not intervene to get their players to focus on the game and not tackling each other.

After the round of 16, Germany looks like the strongest team with home team advantage entering the quarter finals. Brasil the defending champions look very shaky with a poor defense and selfish players in front of the goal.

But as the Spain vs France game today showed, this WC is wide open and any of the major teams can win. It all depends on who shows up that day to play and if the coaches can get their players to play like a real team.
