Player Profile: Jaziri
In search of an unsung hero, I asked several Tunisians who their favorite player was. Time and time again, I got the same answer, Ziad Jaziri. The 27 year old, born in Sousse, has played attack in two CANs for Tunis and this will be his second World Cup appearance for the country of his birth. When asked why he is a favorite, people say that he is a “real” Tunisian, that he plays with heart, that he isn’t flashy and he alwats plays hard. His club team is Troyes in France.

Thank you for providing this service. I love reading this page and getting the updates. I can not wait for the World cup. If Tunisia can get to the 2nd round i will be dancing in the street. Keep in mind a country like Tunisia, and a country like Sweden have the same population, but no one knows about Tunisia. I hope some brave victories can put us on the map.
