I love this Coach (Coelho)! He just keeps impressing everyone, everytime he talks. I wish Chikhaoui will still be playing the way he played before the injury and wish him luck on going to a big club.

Actually in another interview, with "Alchouoruk", he mentioned that he will invite the maximum number of players during the friendly against Angola, because he wants to see the interesting players face to face and watch them play in front of him. He said that after he does that he will pick a smaller group of 23 or so for the Burkina Faso game. He also mentioned that he chose Monastir as the venue for the Angola game since this was a friendly, and that seems to be the only time when they'll be able to play away from the capital Tunis. According to FIFA and CAF rules the FTF had to send the names of only two stadiums where WC qualifying games will be held, and those two are Rades and El Menzah.

Sup guys, I remember hearing about that Arsenal rumor at the height of the Chikhaoui "revelation" in the Swiss league last year but I hadn't seen it resurface so thanks for the heads up on that. I get the feeling he's gonna be there until the winter transfer window but you never know. Houssem, I thought Barry was trying to go to Liverpool? I guess Arsenal stepped in too huh?

Momo, yea I knew about Chermiti. I just haven't been wanting to talk about it since it seems like I've been jinxing it all along or something. Every time I mention him it just gets delayed even more. That's the thing I hate about the transfer season, it's so much speculation! Inshallah this time it's the real deal. It has all the makings of being such. It's weird he's still there though since he's suspended for this weekends game against Esperance. Hertha already started their preparation with that nil nil draw about Liverpool. It's hard for me to explain how badly I want Chermiti at Hertha. I would get to follow him so much better since I get lots of Bundesliga coverage on TV. Thanks for letting me know about the Le Temps interview too, I think I somehow missed that one. As you said, he's learning our players on the fly and seems to be doing a pretty good job of it. I wonder if he'll hold a huge training camp before the Angola game or if he'll just call up the usual 23 or so.

I don't really know what to think about Chikhaoui right now. the new Axpo Super League season has just begun, and FC Zürich have won their first two games without him even on the bench. I would just be happy to see him play the quality football he has shown before his injury for now, the big transfer can wait until the next transfer window I guess. Arsenal are being linked with Villa's Gareth Barry, who is an excellent midfielder as well, with quite a good experience in the Premier League. He would be a safer investment than Chikhaoui as Hleb's remplacement.

He apparently had another interview with "Le Temps" also. He said pretty much the same things, and he said that right now he has a group of 50 players that he collected thus far. He also said he is watching videos right now since there is not many games to be played. So that's probably how he knew about Habib Tounsi. I think he had tapes of the U-17 Team World Cup games. But honestly 50 players is pretty impressive. I don't think any good players will be missed, although I do think we have more than 50 players good enough to represent Tunisia. If you think of all the "forgotten" players that Lemerre either didn't know about or didn't want to know about, I can actually make a list of more than 50 players..as I always believed that's probably why Lemerre was lost. He simply didn't know who to pick! In other news Rami, I think that Amine Chermiti will finally be heading to Berlin this Sunday where he will be officially presented to the media. I hope this "Mousalsel" will end soon..I also heard that Arsenal is interested in acquiring Chikhaoui. Well, that might be a solid rumor actually since Hleb just left Arsenal for Barca, so they're gonna need someone to fill his spot. What a dream move that would be!

Brilliant ! I like the man, he sure knows how to handle the press, that will give the likes of Ben Gharbia and Ganzoui less to mutter about. I can't wait to see his first call-up for the Angola game.
