My World Cup Rankings

July 7th, 2006 | By: Bessam | 7 Comments »

From what I have seen in this world cup, and from what i can imagine teams strengths would be compared to one another when taking into account their performances. Basically I am saying a team can beat all of those teams below it. sometimes a team like Germany is below a team they beat like Argentina but if thats the case i feel like if they played 7 times Argentina would beat them at least 4.

Italy
France
Argentina
Germany
England
Portugal
Spain
Netherlands
Brasil
Ghana
Cote D’Ivoire
Sweden
Mexico
Czech Republic
Australia
Ukraine
Switzerland
Equador
Croatia
South Korea
Paraguay
United States
Poland
Serbia & Montenegro
Costa Rica
Tunisia
Japan
Angola
Saudia Arabia
Trinidad & Tobago
Iran
Togo

looks fair enough. i’d have Brazil after Germany/before England. even though they didn’t play their best, they still have quality that would win out over Neth, Spain, Port and Eng. and you sure don’t want to play Brazil 7 times b/c if they start clickin’, you’re in for some serious shiz.

I guess Portugal consistently beating England in tournament play still means they are worse. Oh yeah I forgot becuase they cheated. They cheated against Netherlands, England, and France. Joke.

Brasil has the most talent but didn’t get it together but I would still have them at 3 or 4.

Germany are overachievers, but I like that, they play unselfish and work hard as a team, I still believe Spain, Portugal, Brasil, and England are better squads. Sorry the Dutch don’t impress me at all.

I would put Sweden above Mexico just because of their weak defense and inability to finish, they are comprable to Ivory Coast.
