Jaidi Sees Advantage to Tunisia

Saturday is the big showdown between Nigeria and Tunisia in the African Nations Cup quarterfinals. Both sides are confident. Nigeria is buyoed by the return of captain Jay-Jay Okocha. Tunisia enters the match knowing it defeated the Super Eagles two years ago.

Tunisia defender Rahdi Jaidi: “I’m confident that we can beat Nigeria, we just need to concentrate because Okocha is a dangerous player and we’ll be very careful with him.

“The Nigeria team is no stranger to us, we beat them two-years ago and I think is an advantage for us.”

Tunisia’s defense will have to contend with Okocha without the services of suspended defender Issam Merdassi who was sent off in the loss against Guinea.

Another storyline to follow is whether Tunisia’s Francileudo dos Santos stays in the hunt for the tournament’s golden boot. Dos Santos has scored four goals thus far, putting him one behind Cameroon’s Samuel Ett’o
