Goal Therapy: Tunisia Thrashes Seychelles 5-0
While awaiting some full match analysis and video highlights, I thought I’d leave us all with this picture of our top scorer for today, Hichem Essifi, who opened his account in his first start with the Carthage Eagles by heading home a double.
Three other players scored for the first time in their career under a Tunisian NT jersey. Despite the weakness of our opponent, this is exactly the kind of home cooking which should send us into France thinking positive as ever.
Our cohesiveness, the level of interplay, and player movement were as good as I’ve seen them in the past couple years. Much more to come on this match because there’s plenty to talk about. If you have anything you want to share, as always, please feel free!
Awaiting highlights and further delving into the match and our player’s performances.

Thanks Rami, I actually managed to watch the match.
I noticed that the commentator on TV7 said something about one player who might be joining our national team (from Europe) soon. I didn’t write down his name (think his first name is along the lines of Julien though. Do you have more info on the subject?

congratualtions rami, now i am waiting for one big, long awaited north african derby!!

He Rami,
Thanks again for the quick update. Yesterday we saw again, that Tunisia is not an attacking team. We struggled to play against the weakest team on the planet. So far we can not see a decent game plan. Actually they play similar to Morocco which also played yesterday. It was unorganized and chaotic. As Rami mentioned earlier in the blog, the Lemerred disease is still in their vains and will take time to recover from that unfortunately.
In addtion, it WAS HORRIBLE TO HEAR THE COMMENTATOR HOW HE WAS PRONONCING MY DEAR NAME( WHAT THE F&*&*&K IS fehied???????? MY NAME IS FAHD FOOL!!
Again guys we have the Material and it will definitely improve in time. For me attacking means:
————————Mathlouthi———————————-
—————-SAIF—————-Haggui————————–
SABER———————————————————Mikari
—————Nammouchi———–Nafkha—————————
————————Ben SAADA———————————–
————————Chikhaoui———————————–
—————-Chermiti———–Jomaaa—————————
Tuesday match result:
France – Tunisia 4 – 1
But deep inside I hope
France – Tunisia 1 – 2
regards all

I like that attacking line you put up Fahd. I am dreaming that we will be using that line up in the next round of the world cup qualifier. But I don’t know about Nafkha. I would put Fahd Ben Khallfallah or Tijani Belaid at his spot. I am also wondering why Kamal Zaim hasn’t been called up yet under Coelho. Rami, do you know how Kamal is doing in Partizan. Let’s hope that Burundi beats Burkina Faso.

Glad to hear that Achraf, I put Nafkha there because I believe he got HEART!! If he plays like he played last week in GHANA, man than he will be a great player. But the ones you mentioned are also good replacements.
Nevertheless yesterday we saw that we might have a problem with Ego’s inour National team. I did not like the attitude of Fahd after the goal assist and when he was replaced by Bensaada. If you watch those two moments you understand what I mean.
Zaim is also a nice player, but going to Partizan is like going to paly for a club in the 3rd league of Spain so… I do not know!!
In shallah marbou7a li Burundi to avoid being place in a pool with Maghreb Algeria or Egypt. Fifa would not like to have 4 Arab African countries to play in world cup
)

burundi lost 3-1, while it was 1-1 in the first half

So does anyone know what our qualification group looks like now?
Posted from
Canada

Well this means that we wil definitely will be in group with either Egypt, Morocoo, Nigeria, Ghana or Cameroun…
This will be no nonsense qualification quest¬¬

The draw for the final round of qualifiers will be later this month I believe. Maybe October 22nd or sometime in November. I’ll look it up and include it in the update to this post once its ready. Oh and by the way Fahd, the commentator is actually using the name correctly. I know in Tunisia its Fahd but when people started calling him that in the radio, tv, and newspapers etc. he clarified that he preferred being calling Fahid as that is how people grew up pronouncing it in his native France.
Achraf, Zaiem is playing on and off for his team. Doesn’t seem to have a regular place yet but at least he’s getting into some games now.
Nabil, I wasn’t listening to most of the commentating since I was watching with music on. I don’t know of any player named Julien but I know he’s going to go see Sami Allagui in Germany after the match in France. He’s also going to stop by and see Chikhaoui in Switzerland to see how he’s doing.

Hey Nabil, just read on Tunisie foot something about a “Fabien Camus.” I think that may be the player we’re talking about. With Coelho and Camus we may as well start a team of writers eh? Highlights are proving hard to locate so far…
Posted from
United States

camus is a great player and ive seen him score some ridiculous goals, but he wouldnt be starting with the midfield we have now, even if he did chose to play for us.
Posted from
United States

Ive neaver even heard of camus until today, and from what ive read im impressed, i mean reaaallllyy impressed.
He was named the best midfielder in the highest belgian league in 2007, but also i read something disturbing about him beeing injured for at least a half year because of a knee injury ( and that article was published in februari this year ).
I think as soon as he is healthy again and starts playing we should show some serious interest!

lol Rami. So who is this guy btw? I agree with Abdullah, I haven’t heard of hi till today either. Too bad he is a midfielder though. We can really use a good striker in times like these!

What in god’s name is wrong with Issam Jomaa ? He had the chance to score 3 or 4 of the easiest goals in his career … I can’t understand how he missed that much. It’s not with him up front that we’re going to bother France’s backline.

Germany

I disagree Houssem. Jomaa has been doing very well with his club lately. He just happened to have an off day. Lets not forget his selfless assist either! I bet that most players in his place would have ventured for goal! That shows a sign of maturity and team chemistry that he brings to our NT.

We don’t need the likes of Ben Khalfallah in our National Tea

We don’t need the likes of Ben Khalfallah in our National Team. Here’s why:
http://forum.kooora.com/f.aspx?t=12354383&r=389734629
He’s just like Lemerre. And we all hate that guy
Also I think that Essifi doesn’t have the level of the NT, he’s too slow and doesn’t help the new tactics that Coelho is using.
Sorry for the double post

Oh my God….
Why do we have this complex that we urgently need Professional players from abroad. Let me remind you all that so far we only benefited from players that were generated by our own domestic league and then went abroad to become professionals. Haggui, Jaaidi, Jomaa, Chikhaoui, ben Fredj, Saif, Chermiti etc etc. This means that our domestic league is the place to find the players we need and want.
By the way Rami, I find it pitiful for someone who is not even able to speak Arabic to ask the local Tunisian to pronounce his name in French??? ( I can say this because I spent my whole life in Holland and I can say I speak Arabic!!) This shows us how dedicated he is to being Tunisian!! Fahd is Fahd BASTA!!! If you want your name to be pronounced perfect you make sure of it, even if you are in China (I can tell you)
The guy is arrogant and has considered him self to be a star player. Well let me tell you he is not and we will hear more about this.
By the way the groups draw is on the 24th of October in Geneva.
As for Comus or what ever, the Belgian league is maybe one of the weakest leagues in Europe and even weaker than the Tunisian league. Why are we spending our energy to find players that are not even willing to play for Tunisia, until they realize they will not make the national squad of the their place of residence???
Yizzinie brabbi rani feddiet min this nonsense let us be realistic work on our local talents. We should admit a Tunisian professional in Europe only if he is able to give an extra to the national team. Not just because he is professional (and alway sits on the bench!!!)
Give me Mouhbi and get rid of ben khalfallah!!

Yassine if that’s true, and that ben khalfallah is just playing for us becuase he’ll never get a chance for france, then fuck him. I thought so too, when he was replaced by Ben Saada in the match he was shaking his head and was very upset :@

Sa77a Lihoum, this is what they deserve !!!
Exactly as I mentioned in my previous comments!!

Sorry, but I am furious after reading the article as well.
I just want to say to people like ben Khafallaw ” Wallahi ken tebeddil gliektik ismik wou bachritik, You will never been seen as French”
Milla mahzla wallahi!!

The worst is that Coelho isn’t stopping, he said in recent press confrences that he’s gonna call Fabien Bechir Camus (horrible name), Sami Allagui and beg Sami Khedira to accept playing for Tunisia.
If a player can’t even speak the language of his country, why should he bother defending its coulours?

Yassine
I could not have said it better!!!
Rabbi yihdi ou khaw

I think your exxagerating Fahd, the belgian league is certainly no premier league but anderlecht and charleroi are good clubs who can certainly put up a fight, in any case this guy should be approached.
It’s not a complex its more a pride “thing”, why won’t we try to get him to play for tounes?
If he feels like a tunisian then get him, if he doesnt then end of story (begging is not an option in my opinion but i doubt you meant that seriously).
As for the pronunciation of his name, i think if he’s used to beeing called ” fahied ” then i think we should just call him that, my name is originally ” Abdullah ” but noone but my mom calls me that, most people call me ” Abdel ” or ” Appie ” and im used to that so we shouldnt make a big deal out of that.

Abdullah,
Come on please do not make me laugh!! The Belgian League??? With all do respect It is very weak. Look at the facts and then you will understand!! What is the pride in this?? I mean it should be a pride for the player to paly for Tunisia not the other way around homezz.
Our experience teaches us that the players like Sabri Lamouchi ben Arfa etc do not choose Tunisia because they want to have a good Career instead of playing for our National Team.
I can not Blame them as it is a Fact. For example if you play in France and you have talent, you need to play for France or else your chances of Playng for a big team fades away… (again Sabri Lamouchi or Zinedine Zidane Sami Nacri, Ben Arfa)
I am pretty sure if these players chose their country then they would have never been this Famous. You should know their is lot of politics.
It is a matter of Money and not Pride. Let’s once think with our head and not with our heart.
As for names pronunciation, sub7an allah it is always the minority who has these short names. Mohamed becomes Mido, Abdullah becomes Appie, Fahd Fahied?? Milla 7ala Just to please the natives??
I mean you are free to call yourself what ever you want, but I believe the name your parents chose should be respected at all times. Especially in Arabic we should not fool with our names as they all have a valuable meaning!!
If you want to be respected by the natives you should make a deal out of it!!
My name as you know is also very difficult to pronounce in holland, but they try and are able to pronounce it. It is really a matter of respect.
Jij moet dit toch weten???
