GAME TIME

Tunisian team

FOLKS, this is 2 hours until game time. Tunisia will most likely line up in a 4-4-2 and not a 1-1- 8 like i prefer :) . the question is will we see Mr. Franciluedo Silva Dos Santos on the pitch today.

My eyes are bloodshot, I couldnt sleep. the pressure is on. I am tired of hearing about the 1978 Tunisia team and how it was the best ever. I want the 2006 team to be the best. I hope they get a hell of a motivational speech. If there is any game to play you heart out it is todays game. Club games, friendlys or whatever is nothing compared to this. It is time to use every fiber of strength, couarage, and skill today. I would love to continue blogging with you all, Tunisia need a win, this is going to be stressful today.

You can see the tension and the stress. But like me all the players have the desire to not settle for less then their best and will for sure see that desire today. Stay Tuned

Words can’t describe what im feeling right now. All the expectations i had and this is the outcome? Referees ruining Tunisia’s chances, players getting underserved penelties against us, santos not playing, etc. Im so dissapointed. Tunisia players should still keep their heads up. Overall i think they played well in this tournament even with all the negatives going against us. See you guys in 4 years.

Good game guys, I think that was a fantastic performance and that second half was a great effort with one man down. it sucks losing on a penalty kick, but I feel the same way about Ukraine, it sucks winning on a penalty kick goal. But sometimes thats just the way things turn out.

Hatim , you said it all! It’s just disgusting. With this referee, even brasil could not win. 65′ free kick on the Ukrainian hand high in the sky, Mr carlo didn’t care! after 4 minutes an imaginary penalty to chevchenko. Africa should say something to Mr Blatter.

It’s sad to see the ref blow that call, very sad. Fifa must act, the integrity of the Cup is damaged by these incidents.

Andriy, he tripped on himself. look at the replay. And the commentators did dispute it on espn2.

Agreed, Shevchenkos right foot got caught behind his left. Even the announcer mentioned that. However. Why Lemmerre was playing with a 5 man midfield is beyond me. If at any time we needed more then one striker it was today. If at any time we needed to attack it was today and too little too late santos in the 80th minute.

he tripped himself on purpose after the foul, foul made, shevchenko was trying to stay on his feet because he thought he still had an opportunity, when he realized he no longer had that realistic opportunity, he tripped himself and toppled because yes there was a foul right beforehand, this is something experience brings to the table

Think about it. if he wasn’t going to fall from the contact from the tunisian player then its not a foul!! You said it yourself that he tripped himself. thats why the idiot ref called the penelty. Pathetic.

So, suppose one player hits another player intentionally in the face and both of them keep running. You’re saying that is not a foul?

ahhhhhhhhhh, what a frustration ! we shouted so much during this game, my friend was gonna faint, the other one didn t know if he had to laugh or cry, a other french guy with us old player with the french national team said the penalty and exclusion of Jaziri was a “scandale “. I was so upset! And Lemererre playing only with one attaquant, and not making change while playing at 10….a desaster. the miracle is that they couldn t goal against us without the help of this worst stupid referee. they were only 10 but resisted. No luck, and two players hurted. …Let s hope for better team and better referees in 4 years…in challah!

Look, I admit you guys played well, yet things didnt go your way. Blame the ref, fine, but later in the same game there was a much more clear foul in the box and the ref turned a blind eye to it, because of the earlier penalty, and with the way Tunisia played all game, it was bound to happen. I respect Tunisia, I wanted from the very beginning for Ukraine and Tunisia to be the ones to go through, but it didnt happen :O(

Dear Andriy, i know it s a bitte useless to argue about this right now ( but well I wanted to fight with someone after the match so it s gonna be you ;)) , just kidding of course…seriously my point about the referee you said it yourself, it s that he closed his eyed at the wrong moment (the tackles tunisia did twicr second part after they were losing anyway) and some faults from Ukrainia too, and the worse is the hand from the player forming the wall when Ayari was shooting the coup franc…But the same referee miracly see things which didn t happen, a penalty who all the professionnal press describes as too generous , unfair and inexistant…and for the off side same blind collegues for three actions…
hoooooo, i feel better, sorry Dear but had to say it. we had our mistakes, but at least the game should be fair, when you killl a match at the 46th minute…and giving on a tray the qualifications…sorry there is no logic..but that s the game, we have to accept it, but there is a serious problems with referees and not only for this game. But this referee shoudn t provide his “services” anymore.

Amira, when Ukraine played Spain in their first game and we lost that dreadfull 4-0. The big controversy was the penalty kick that Spain got at the start of the second period. This was an ongoing matter which irrirated me and many other Ukrainians, even though we were gonna lose anyways, its still a goal one way or another. SO trust me, I and all the Ukrainian fans know how you feel. But eventually I realized something, the referees are part of the game, they can be very good and very bad and yes they can control the outcome of a game, they are human. Players should remember that, they are human. Ukraine learned a lesson that day, even though you might not be committing a foul, dont make it look like you might be committing a foul. Something I actually addressed before the Tunisia game if you read that article, that one thing Ukraine needs to do is make it look like they are playing safer. The Tunisians did not have to touch Sheva on that run did they ? He maybe wouldn’t have scored. But they took the risk of being too close to him, they knew they were in the penalty area, and the took the risk and suffered the consequences right ? The same thing our Ukrainian did in that Spain game, he never touched the Spanish guy, but made it look like he did.

Well the USA was my second choice. Teams I am following now : England (because this year I became a huge fan of the premier league). France, because i like most of the players. Ghana because they represent Africa and are fearless.

For Entertainment value, it will be a joy to watch Argentina, Brasil , Spain, Italy, Ghana,

Closely followed by Australia because they fight hard maybe Netherlands, Swedens constant attacks are fun

I am not too keen on Switzerland, Germany, Equador, and Mexico. However I have nothing against them, I hope to see good football

The refereeing at this World Cup has been horrendous. Then again, it’s usually been subpar. Id De Rossi got suspended for an elbow which was in no way malicioys, Shevchenko desrves to be suspended for diving.
