I am happy with the list Coelho put on, and happy that Dhouadi is healthy. Good thing his injury is not serious. I dont think there are any surprises on the list. But the starting line up is what i am thinking what will happen there. Will he replace souissi with Chahed? Will he play 3 defensive middies? Will Jemaa or Chermiti start? 2 forwards? So many questions that need to be answered with his list.
I think he will go with the 2 defensiive Korbi and Ragued just because we have to win and Taider is not available and Saihi is not at his top form, and Mrabet is a risk to put in giving how big this game is! Also if Souissi is healthy and fit I would leave him and wait for Chahed to get customed in more friendlies (Ivory Coast, Angola in December) and that will tell if he is going to be our RB in African Nations Cup. By the way the draw for Angola 2010 is on November 20, Looking forward to seeing whose in our group!
By the way did anyone see the comments by Messi? He said that “Tunisia will have a heavy task during its displacement in Mozambique” and he thinks Algeria and Nigeria will qualify instead of Egypt and Tunisia.

Coelho’s reaction: He did not like the comment made by messi “But these purposes can corrupt our morale under no circumstances. We have our trumps and we have our destiny between hands.” http://www.infosfoot.net/fr/articles/article.php?id_article=2671
Welcome back Chermiti and Allagui, Hope you will impact the game!!!

Still nervouse and I know the players are to. Like they say it, if you are not nervous than it is not a big game. So they better be nervous! lol!

Yea, I’m sure the players heard about what Messi said and will want to qualify so that they can potentially face him in the World Cup. It shouldn’t be their main motivator obviously but since when is Messi an expert on African football? He said that because he knows Nigeria’s team better since he’s faced them in the Olympics etc. I love the little guy but I can’t say his comment didn’t tick me off a bit… He’s entitled to his opinion I guess but destiny is in our hands and I have a feeling our players are going to play their best match in these qualifiers yet inshallah.

i like the squad that,s been called for this game as they are all familier with games been played in africa apart from chahed maybe, but however it will be good experience for him, as for the team as whole whether you are a starter or not you should be mentally ready to do your job as best as you should, cos i think psychological preparition is the key to this sort of games, there,s no excuse this time, forza tunisia and may the best team go through.

Messi is a incredle player……but that it is a bunch of rubbish what he said.
Nigeria is not a good team right now and Tunisia must show Messi that they will qualify for the world cup and win Africa cup 2010………….
Tunisia will inchallah win with this good squad and hopefuly the list with 11 men will be like this
————Balbouli
Chahed—Ghezel—Haggui—-Mikari
———Korbi—-Ragued————-
—-FBK——–Darragi—–Ben-Saada–
—————Chermiti—————-
Inchallah marbou7a………Forza Tunisie

lol who cares what messi thinks! I think Cristiano Ronaldo is better than him anyways!!

I think Messi should focus on his own country that qualified after a horific couple of games. Don’t think we all should give more view’s on his gibbrish. If you would ask him if he can name you one playername of all squads mentiond he couldn’t. So how can i or some one else take those comments seriously?
Nice list, nice article Rami. Lets all hope inshALLAH Aymen gets over in Djerba in one piece without injuries and hope the squad will enjoy a nice stay and a good game in Mozambique with a good result inshALLAH.

Yes, when did messi turn to an expert on African Football.
From the list, it looks like the coach is going to gamble and for the first time play with two attackers (4-4-2), and that they will be the ones doing the attack on match day. The question is will it work??
The ticket is in your hands, and i have lost hope long ago but i you “FAILLLLLLL”… Am waiting till match day.

Bassem, thanks and I echo your thoughts on injuries. Rabbi yostor ou inshallah labes.
Nkem, what’s your take on the Nigeria and Kenya match? Are you feeling confident? I’m waiting for matchday too. Have been since the last one ended

@Rami, Hell no, First of all, they are busy arguing about were to train for the match. i don’t even want to think about the match but i hope they win even if it is by one goal margin.
On another note,The number 10(Ben Khalifa) for the swiss U-17 team, i hope you guys are monitoring him and i understand that his parents are tunisian. this guy is very good and he is the reason why the swiss have gone far, maybe coelho can consider him in the future. What do you think?

I just thought about this now but Coelho could try this:
—————-Balbouli——————
Souissi/Chahed—-Ghzel———-Haggui——–Mikari
————Korbi——Ragued—————
FBK————–Darragi—————Jemaa
—————–Chermiti——————-
Otherwise it has to be this:
—————-Balbouli——————
Souissi/Chahed—-Gzel———-Hagui——–Mikari
————Korbi——Ragued—————
FBK————–Darragi————-Dhaouadi
—————–Chermiti——————-
Or maybe we will see 2 strikers, but as you said Rami, Coelho is not really the type who goes experimental unless its really necessary(like in Abuja wich saved us there).
—————-Balbouli——————
Souissi/Chahed—-Ghzel———-Haggui——–Mikari
————Korbi——Ragued—————
——-FBK————————Darragi—
—————–Allagui——————–
—————–Chermiti——————-
Personally i think if Jemaa gets his act together really fast i would like to see the 2nd line up, otherwise it’s still wiser to let Dhaouadi play, he deserves it.

i meant to say if Jemaa proves us wrong tomorrow, then i’d like to see the 1st line up, the 2nd is the most probable imo.

Hello together.
I think we have to consider one important fact. It is “only” Mozambique we are facing. Normaly – if the Tunisian team inshallah shows their quality – there is no discussion about winning. In my opinion Tunisia is making the fault to exaggerate the strength of Mozambique. We should have self-confidence enough to play with two strikers and win this game at least 3-0! We have the unique chance to be the first African nation attending the World Cup four times in a row.
My team:
———Balbouli———–
Chahed——Ghzel—-Haggui—–Mikari
——Korbi—-Ragued——
——FBK——Darragi——-
—–Allagui—–Chermiti—–
Inshallah marbouha…

You have a good point there Bstar, we should take it serious enough to grab the 3 points but on the other hand we need to show confidence too, that means the NT itself and the Tunisian supporters.
Btw great to see that this community is still growing here
Also we’ll probably see the same line-up Lotina used against Gijon tomorrow, hope Lassad impresses http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/n-news.php?cid=2409&ctg=1&pg=1

Bstar, you’re absoloutly right we should win and that is it and win africa cup 2010 and go through to the quarterfinals in world cup 2010

Nkem, yea we’re aware of the Tunisian talisman on the Swiss team. Thing is, I don’t know if he’s been contacted by our Federation in the past or not (I’m thinking no). It will be harder to recruit him now that he’s making a name for himself in a Switzerland jersey. He looks happy in the team and is probably building good relationships there, plus his side is succeeding with him playing a major role. I can tell you that we’ll for sure be contacting him but I am not certain what his response will be. He’s too young to be on our senior squad but he could be useful in the future. Hard to tell what’s going to happen with that. Meanwhile, that’s crazy the NFF hasn’t even settled on a training location! I think you guys will still win though. Things in the Kenyan camp are even more disorganized and their coach is under huge pressure to call up Oliech and Ochieng but apparently he won’t budge. It’s not a good atmosphere to prepare a match in.
BStar, you’re right that we have a tendency to blow things out of proportion when it comes to our opponents. Hopefully we’ll give just enough respect to prepare diligently and not too much that it affects our own confidence. It’s a fine balance but I think our players are going to be incredibly motivated. They’re 90 minutes away from a World Cup and its up to them to seize their chance.

Lassad’s got hamstring problems again, he wont play tomorrow

Damn man, that sucks. I wonder when he’ll ever have enough time off to really strengthen those muscles because this has been a recurring issue and it probably won’t stop until he puts in a lot of work during the offseason to get in better physical shape…

so guys here again we talking about the psycological prepartion agian, in terms of the size of the opposition and our reputation and our ambitions as one of the strongest team in africa.
i think we shuold not worry ourselves with little details such as the pich training facilities etc…
we should leave that part to the federation to deal with, at the end of the day they are only a number of training sessions and they will find a suitable pich for that (even though its bit late).
wot matters is the content of the training week specially mentally, cos to be honest when i watch our national team somtimes you feel like some players a day dreaming our somthing lol..no movement no basic ball control no passing ability like u watching a sunday team trainig, other times they are better than the best in the world.to be honest that worries me alot.playres should be made aware that.

DAMN! on the crossbar by Amine

Shattered dream Chermiti, couple of chances for him he did wat he could and really played a good match, but overall Ittihad got dominated, they couldnt cope with the pressure on midfield leading to silly defensive mistakes and 2 goals.
It was frustrating to see how Chermiti was waiting to get the ball before his feet but all they did was play long-ball, and he even did great with that hitting the crossbar once with a header, giving another assist with his head for the 2-1, in the first half he got away from a defender and shot on goal with little space but the shot got blocked(otherwise it would’ve gone in) and had one chance for a volley that was impossible to get in, but he allways gets in position and helps out his teammates, it’s a shame they let him down this time, Aboucherouane was playing good too but they were just missing a creative force on midfield.

Penalty by Allagui stopped but scored by a teammate 2nd time around.

Good to see Mouihbi get a goal for Club in the Tunisian Cup to tie the game, Half time right now. Hopefully this is a sign that he is getting back to his form!
