I don’t know if that’s the same quote but there’s on where Ancillo Canepa says: “Chikhaoui will in the coming weeks contest his first championship game” BOOM!

Ya rabi please, please, let him come back and stay healthy. Inshallah yarj3lena Yassine. Achraf, thanks for the update man!

I’m not getting me hopes up for the maestro again in fear of getting disappointed again, although something compells me to do that a lil bit everytime.

But if that quote is true, then it is promosing, my german is weak but it is enough to know that that definately means they are pretty confident of his return in the coming weeks.

Oh man this would make everything that happened in the last months disappear.

Allagui’s new hairdo is working, scored 1-0 against Bielefeld.

Are we really still looking at Allagui for a potential forward, we might as well give Santos a shot too then :P lol, he also scored today heheh

I think he can still be a potential forward, He has great speed and skill is reminds me a lot of Chermiti. They are both similar types of forward and the combination of Chermiti-Allagui worked great against the friendly against Sudan back in May. They can Really bother the Defense. I am just hoping Allagui’s team will get promoted to the Bundesliga and have a greater challenge competing against competitive teams. They are currently in 8th place. I Can see him play in the first division and thats where he will make a name for himself. He does have a great test on Wednesday against Bayer Munich (German Cup) and that will be a great way to prove himself.

I respectfully disagree, beeing that Chermiti and Allagui are similar players, Chermiti is much better at what he does (getting the ball in the back of the net) on all aspects of his play, his technique, experience his speed..basically everything.

And they are both 9’s wich means it won’t always work out like it did against Sudan, you could also clearly see the difference in speed that game, imo Chermiti is the key for goals and there should be players around him who can provide him with passes in depth wich he only has to walk into, because he’s not the type of player who can play a lot with his back against the defenders (maybe he’ll learn to do so in the future) but the player who can’t provide him with such passes is Allagui because he’s just another Jemaa.

We really should stop underestimating players like Akaichi, Ayari, Msakni, Dhaouadi etc, if we invest in them we’ll have a team filled with STARS in the near future :)

I think Allagui definitely deserves another look. You can’t name another player scoring more regularly than him at the moment and one of our main problems is scoring goals. Definitely with you Abdullah on needing to give look toward our youth too but Allagui is someone who I think we could have used in Angola in Jemaa’s place. He’s way more efficient and is also more of a team player. Maybe not as good on the defensive side of things but I think Benzarti judged him unfairly when he said he couldn’t bring that much to the national team. I hope he reconsiders because the kid is very dedicated to playing for Tunisia even though he was being courted by the German olympic team coach. Its not like he’s doing us a favor but I can tell by the way he talks that he really wants to get a proper shot in the NT. That desire means a lot. I rate Chermiti higher than him but not by as big a margin as you’d think.

Meanwhile, here’s what our Olympic squad looks like for the moment:

Equipe « 2012 » : Liste des joueurs retenus.
Voici la liste des joueurs retenus pour un stage de l’équipe nationale « 2012 » du 8 jusqu’au 10 février 2010 :

Le rassemblement des joueurs a été fixée pour le 8 février 2010 à 11h à l’annexe du stade Olympique d’El-Menzah.

Also, Korbi only got two matches and a fine. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. In most leagues he would have gotten so much more. I was thinking they’d go for 5 in Tunisia but surprised again and for the wrong reasons. He’ll be facing Esperance’s disciplinary committee on Monday. Not sure what they’re going to do there…

Rami, I noticed that too, especially when he had his family in one of the NT friendly there to root for him. He and his family really love Tunisia, and sometimes you get that from the European based players.

Korbi and Taraji should be happy it is only 2 game suspension. I think the FTF did not want to make Taraji even more angry at them and give them a hard time with getting Benzarti. The FTF does have this kind of mindset.

Rami, it does not matter if Korbi gets a 2 or 5 week suspension. He already demonstrated he’s a no good son of a bitch. Definitely he does not subscribe to the concept of “hygiene de vie”, so he is symbolic of why Tunisian football is failing so miserably! I’ll let them figure that one out! My approach would be to purge the NT of bastards like him, but i’ll leave that to those who can actuall do that. Can’t wait for Esperance to sink even further down!!!!

yea, even as a taraji fan, korbi should gotten much more. it wasnt even like a cup final or anything, he had no reason to even think of doing that. hopefully darragi and msakni come back soon so we can start winning again. btw, does the olympic team have a friendly or what?

Achraf I think you’re right about the FTF being influenced by the current situation with Benzarti etc. in terms of the Korbi suspension. It’s a shame they let these things mix because each one has its place and what Korbi did is just shameful. Rachid, I wonder if he’ll clean his act up now. I don’t want Esperance to sink low though. I want all our clubs at their strongest so it feeds into the NT. An Esperance playing well is in the interest of our NT and also Champions League hopes. Too bad the coaching situation is kind of a mess now.

Thamer, I don’t think they have a friendly. Just a two day training camp. What I am confused about is now that Ammar Souayah is coaching them instead of Sami Trabelsi, what is Sami Trabelsi doing? He’s not the assistant coach of the NT anymore. Will he be in the future? If not then it seems like he got a raw deal. I liked how he was coaching them in that friendly against France a month or two ago. He was going for the win in that one, very attack minded substitutions. I liked that. Hope he can get a job.

Pretty sure he didn’t play. Kinda sucks that he’s benched and they win but his coach says he still believes in him so that’s something I guess…

Ben Saada is on FIRE, he just scored his second goal since coming back from CAN but todays goal is a great one (header) Benzarti might regret not playing him much in the CAN especially against Cameroon!!!

ok Rami thx for the info, i remember hatem trabelsi’s first match for ajax he played well but also got a red card (think it was de first match or second also possible) but what i want to say is that he ended to be one of the best in his team so inshallah abdennour wil show them in the future..

great news achraf..ben saada needs to show this for his country too:D

Esperance just keeps on sinking every week, Today they player Olympique Beja and could not find the back of the net until the 94th minute where the referee whistled a penalty that I thought was not. I think it will be best for the club to just part ways with Benzarti now rather than June and find a new coach. Youssef Zouaoui would be a good candidate.

Here are the rest of todays results.

ESZ – JSK: (1-1). Ghanem 6′ pour la JSK et Mogaâdi 65′ pour l’ESZ .
ESHS – CSHL: (0-1). M. Chaâbani 52′.
OB – EST: (0-1). Eneramo 90′+4 .
ASK – CSS: (1-0) . Slim M’hadhebi 45′
ST – ESS: (0-1). Nafkha 31′.
USMo – CAB : (1-2). Lamjed Choudi 7′ et Haithem Ben Salem 52′ pour le CAB et Ben Romdhane 82′ pour l’USMo .

It’s quite sickening how Tunisian referees go about doing their jobs! No wonder even refereing is going to hell in Tunisia. That’s all I would say about awarding Esperance a pk at the 94th minute! It goes to show that it’s impossible for Benzarti to retain both posts at the same time, and not be dealing with serious issues from all sides. On the bright side, as an Etoile fan, it was refreshing to see how they played against Stade Tunisien today, and won fair and square by a great goal from long range by Nafkha! Coaching makes all the difference, and it seems the new Dutch coach knows quite well what he’s doing. No sloppy long shots, no BS, just pure and simple football and that carried the day for l’Etoile. The man was so confident and did not make crazy substitutions just for the sake of making substitutions, which really speaks volumes about how great of a manager he SEEMS to be! I wish him and my beloved l’Etoile the best of luck!

I agree Rachid, The Etoile coach clearly made a difference to the team and especially the rule that I thought was new in Tunisia, is the players from 8AM to 5PM they are working with Etoile either training or watching game tape. It just shows how professional he is. But Akaichi was such a ball hog today and they could have won 3-0 at least if he was unselfish. He needs to fix that if he wants to be on the NT, as we saw he did the same thing against Gabon.

But I am really proud of My team CAB this year, they are really doing it with there youth. They have some potential players on the team that could move to bigger clubs after the season (Baratli, Jabari, ben Mostafa, Adhour, Ben Salem)! We need more of this in Tunisia, other clubs bringing competition to the other Big 4 of Tunisia, and this year we are seeing it with Stade Tunisian and CAB.

achraf, eevn though im a taraji fan, i have great respect for your team. as much as i would like to have jabari and baratli on my team, i wouldnt mind if all your young talent stayed on your team for the next 5 years, i honestly beleive that they have the potential to break into the top 4. and it would be better for the national team if all of those youngsters were playing first team football for CAB then sitting on the bench for bigger clubs.

Exactly thamer, I just want to see the Tunisian league to get stronger and have more competition. It really does get boring having to see Taraji, CA, OR ESS win the league every year. The players have to be smart with there decisions of choosing where to play, not going straight to the most popular team.

I am just getting tired of this story. Meddeb is so selfish and I dont know who he thinks he is. I understand the FTF should have met with him about Benzarti but thats the Tunisian FTF, He should not be surprised. Now Meddeb is saying that as long as he is the president of EST Benzarti will stay with him. What does this mean for the NT???????

I just watched the Etoile vs. ST highlights and am really sorry I missed that match. Looks like one of the most entertaining ones of the season even though there was one goal (a nice one at that). First Dutch coach in Tunisia off to a good start. Good for him and best of luck to Etoile.
