Doors are Opening

The BBC reports that Etoile players Moussa Nary and Sadat Bukari have been called up by Ghana coach Claude Le Roy to be part of the 26 man group that will play a four nation tournament next week. Clearly, Le Roy is still testing out players and trying to figure out who is going to fill out his squad for the 2008 African Cup of Nations. I’m glad to see that people are taking notice of the fine talent that Etoile have at their disposal. Hopefully the African Champs don’t start losing ground in the domestic competition due to their success on the continent. However, if they do, it will have been well worth it. You can only be happy for the two Ghanaians as this is a first time call up for both of them. It’ll be interesting to see whether they can impose themselves and join Essien and company in Ghana this January. Best of luck to the Black Stars of the Sahel!
