Chikhaoui Feeling No Pain
The FC Zurich watchblog reports that Yassine Chikhaoui is finally training with no pain in his patella tendon. While this would carry a little more weight if it was coming from the official FC Zurich website or a news outlet, it is still an incredibly positive development. With that said, the aforementioned blog has been mostly accurate in the past. Hopefully this will be confirmed in the coming days.
If nothing else surfaces, we’ll only have to wait until February 8th to get a better indication of his form as the league leading FC Zurich will be taking on FC Vaduz once the Swiss Axpo League picks up again. Just making the team sheet for this one will be a step in the right direction for our midfield maestro.

- Habib Mejri is in Egypt to scout our World Cup qualifying group opponents Kenya who take on Egypt in Cairo today. All proceeds of the match will be donated to Gaza victims. Good to see that we’re sending a person to catch this one instead of relying on match tapes that don’t always make their way to their destination…
- Congratulations to Esperance for lifting the North African Cup Winners Cup by defeating JSM Bejaia of Algeria, 2-1 in Rades (pictures here). Newcomer Khaled Korbi took man of the match honors to help Esperance add to its already impressive trophy case. May Club Africain follow in their footsteps on Sunday when they take on FAR of Morroco. The first leg finished 0-0 in Rades so the red and white outfit will have their work cut out for them.

Very good news!!! We have been waiting for this! As soon as he comes back we will finally have a healthy group and ready to go by March. I am curious of what we might do against Holland and hoping we will get momentum from that game going into Kenya.

The FCZ watchblog is a reliable news source.
Is there even the slightest possibility that he will be called up? I’m desperate to see him play live. Last time was the Zambia friendly last year

like i said, zurich is not going to let him play for tunisia and risk him getting injured before he even plays for them

I think Thamer is right again. I’d be very surprised if he gets a callup. We need to give him some time to get his legs under him. By March inshallah he’ll be geared up and ready to go. It’s not ideal but there’s no use rushing him into the team if he’s just going to end up injured again. We can wait for someone as good as him.

Great news, & i agree with giving him more time to become completely fit beacuse we’ve waited this long those couple of weeks extra couldn’t hurt either.
Rami do you know when coelho will release his list of players he will call up?
