Brace yourselves…

… for the new season. While France’s domestic league kicked off last weekend, those following the Premiership in England finally got a taste of their own brand of Football today. I’ve been paying close attention myself since I jointed the Squadgod fantasy league. All I can say is I wish I had selected Mr. Obafemi Martins who scored a brace for Newcastle, including this delightful overhead kick. They may not give you points for style in fantasy leagues but if they did that one would be worth a lot more than one. Unfortunately for me none of my players have managed to find the back of the net Hopefully tomorrow some of my boys will come through. Lost amid all this hoopla is that the Tunisian league begins today as well. Last year’s champions, The Etoile Sportive du Sahel, kick off their title defense against ES Zarzis. As the season continues I’ll profile some of the notable teams in Tunisia but for now heres a compilation of last season’s finest strikes. Theres some serious talent in this country and the future looks bright. Now if only I could get some of these goals to count towards my fantasy team…
