BEST MATCH OF WORLD CUP 2002: SENEGAL vs SWEDEN

Something for Tunisia to draw inspiration from .

From the moment We saw Senegal take down France in the opening game of World Cup 2002 I knew they were a team that would be reckoned with. Actually their Star El Hadji Diouf has never played better since that world cup. They were fearless and in interviews after that I remember Diouf bieng asked if his team was nervous or something to that extent: He answered No we are a team filled with bandits and mad men and we fear nothing. I nearly fell off my seat.

In the Round of 16, they faced a terrific Swedish team and a real nail biter. They went to extra time and the future star Ibrahemavic was brought on. He almost gave me and all Senegal supporters a heart attack because he nearly put the game away. Sweden Search for a golden goal and nearly got one when one of their players had his back to goal on the edge of the box and did a sudden 180 turn, blasting the ball towards goal, The Senegal keeper watch helplessly as the ball hit the upright.

Finally however Senegal got their golden goal from a vicious strike from Henry Camara from about 35 yards. I have had that match on Video before but I lost it, but this memory is engraved in my mind.

I hope Tunisia can succeed in providing these sorts of thrills this summer
