In terms of the first few things you said, I hope that you're right. Honestly, the group is quite solid. South Africa would have to suck pretty bad to be less competitive then they were in Egypt 06 while Angola has proven that it can cause upsets before (Nigerians know about this). Considering that, I think that in our game there's more than just bragging right at stake. A loss would put quite a bit of pressure on either Senegal or Tunisia. However, pressure doesn't equal certain elimination so you're right that both teams will still have the chance to qualify no matter the opening result.

Based on current form, Senegal would probably win this match if it was played tomorrow. However, we have a few months to get our act together. There's no doubt in my mind that given the right group and training (I'm looking at Lemerre here), we can take all three points. Whatever the case, it's gonna be a fun game to watch.

Egypt doesn't look like the power it is right now. They really stumbled into the tournament...

I knwo we've been talking about this for years now and finally it happened.
I think both our teams can get out of the group but for bragging rights, the first game will be the most important.
I think you're absolutely right on the group of death. Any way you put it, a very strong team will have to go home early (i'm thinking mali and Cote d'ivoire will go through). The C group could beinteresting. An early Egypt Cameroon is always pleasant.

Now I believe Senegal can beat Tunisia easily given our last performances without some of our key players. We managed to mic in a few teens and got 5 goals against Burkina, drew Ghana in London and beat Guinea last week. If the heavyweights are in top shape, we can even win this thing. We'll talk more.
