Al7amdullileh!
So happy for him, I hope all goes well! Only unfortunate part of all this is we’re not getting to see it live. I hope there will be highlights later!

Here is an article on Chikhaoui’s return http://www.footafrica365.fr/infos-pays/tunisie/article_397507_super-league-fc-zurich-Chikhaoui-enfin-le-retour-.shtml
I am hoping team-tunisie or sheva can get some highlights
Pictures of him on the field again

Great article Rami.
Wow where to start??
Grass roots would be my first area to address. Most players qualities are quite obvious very early on. Today even as young as 11-13 years of age. We need to decide exactly what football identity to we desire for Tunisia. Do we want to implement a more technical philosophy nation ala Egypt, Croatia or a more conservative one ala Denmark and Sweden.
Philosophy trumps everything in the football it’s why Egypt can win another ANC even sans Abo Trika or Man Utd can still remains one the best clubs in the World despite the departures of Ronaldo and Tevez.
We can’t keep thinking “Well if only Chika were fit we would be the best in Africa”.
Plays come and players go, football is a ruthless game we need a system that does a vastly superior job of cultivating and developing players be it physically, mentally and in terms of sheer quality.
Sorry for rambling a bit, I’ll try to post something more coherent later on but suffice to say this a massive task and our football future is at stake.
Thanks for offering your opinion on this Nabil. Definitely would love to hear more from what people on this. Unrelated but big up to our Gunners today
Pulled that one out just in time.
Lassad is starting against Sevilla in 10 mins
I’ll be watching on GolTV. I’ll post a link if I find one on Tunisie-Foot or you can search for one here rojadirecta.com

I was wrong, Lassad didn’t start today. Subbed in the 75th and is doing perfectly fine. Wish we could one day line up Lassad and Chikhaoui together to see what it gives.

And this article says Yassine “immediately proved his class.” http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http://bazonline.ch/sport/fussball/Das-Comeback-des-eleganten-Dribblers/story/20131177&sl=de&tl=en

We have to stop counting on Jemaa, i know it’s frustrating for a striker to miss opurtunities but they way he acts when he gets frustrated is just not proffesional.
Take a look and judge by yourself http://team-tunisie.net/video+Issam+Jemaa+217
I have only one thing to say about him, and that is that he’s not that good, he never was, and he’ll never be.

i heard issam jebali got badly injured yesterday and that his season is over. bad news for our olympic squad as he was an important player. hopefully someone else can step up in his place.

Abdullah, I think you’re being harsh on him. I think he overdid it with the reaction at being subbed and he’ll catch flak for that but he was by far the best attacking player on the field for Lens on the day. It’s just he was inefficient. In a perfect world we’d have better striking option than him but he’s still one of our best forwards at the moment. I definitely think we need to search for alternatives but I can almost guarantee we’ll keep using Jemaa in one way or another. The amount of work he does on the defensive side isn’t easily replicated by a lot of our striking options, he’s a lot more physical than almost all of them.
Thamer, yea that really sucks a lot. Wish him the best and as you said hopefully we have someone to step into his place…

True, fans should be more supportive to him. Maybe if Jemaa moves to some other team or league he might do the same trick as Santa Cruz did.
Hopefully Camus can get another chance he hasn’t been too bad he can play both sides and in the middle. So basicly he can replace any of those three midfielders whe had in CAN 10 if they were injured.
I rly dont think i’m beeing that harsh on him, i mean just because he’s one of the best WE have doesnt mean he’s good.
Oh and Sami ur forgetting that Santa Cruz has always been a good striker.
I would rather see Ayari, Akaichi and Chermiti get more minutes and boosting their confidence than waste time on Jemaa who definitely won’t get a lot better than he is right now, and he’s also not he goalscoring type so in that sense i think its better if we play a lone striker(Chermiti) with talented mids who can serve him.
I have nothing personal against Jemaa but he’s just another ” Zitouni “

yea i agree. ayari has the potential to be the best striker in the league and i hope that in 3 or 4 years its him and chermiti up front. both of them are lightning fast and smart players. we dont have any big competions coming up so i would recommend giving ayari and akaichi the nod over him in future friendlies to gain experience.

i only know baratli jebbari and mbarki from CAB, and ben cherifa, hadda and khenissi from EST. khenissi has great potential, he finished top scorer in that youth tournament two years ago in south africa where est beat inter milan and lost to boca in the final. do you know any of the C.A. players rami?

Nah, I don’t know any of the CA players which is why I was a little taken aback by the list… I’m gonna check webvirage though to see if there’s any info on any of them cuz now I’m curious.

I’m just praying he stays healthy and injury free. 10 minutes played and there’s already press about him… Impressive but premature cuz he needs to build up really slowly all the way to playing 90 minutes without complications. Their next game is on Sunday at 11:00 am EST against Bellinzona and hopefully we can get a glimpse this time. Wishing him all the best.

yea i read that too. i watch his highlights regularly just to remind myself of how good he is and i honestly think he could become world class. hard work will only get you so far, to become a great player you have to have that something extra that cant be taught and he definatly has that. i hope he’ll be playing at a top top club in two years.

I cried tears of joy when I saw him make that comeback last year. Perhaps I’m easily moved but its not just any player that can make me feel such emotions. If we had him healthy we’d probably be World Cup bound right now… No use to dwell on that but inshallah we get him back for good and this whole injury crisis becomes a distant memory in an illustrious career. Finger crossed. I think I’ll watch some highlights too now

I think that our future is bright for the NT. I beleivre, if healthy, Chikhaoui can lead us to the CAN final in 2012 alongside Darragi. Chikhaoui will bring that leadership and heart to the team aswell as his skill making players around him better. But he cant do it alone, I am hoping Lassad Nouioui makes a strong comback and get some goals these last couple months of play and be consistent and we will have him on our NT. I am just happy for Chikhaoui and wish him the best and Inchallah this will be the end of the injury prone. Is it June 15 Yet? We need someone to go after Khalifa.
Most importantly they have to take care of our players and make sure they become less injury prone, because that’s one of the factors that causes instability.
The ftf has to work together with clubs to make sure of this, especially the players abroad need this, the local players have Benzarti too look after them and i hope that by the time most of the players are healthy again, a better physical staff will be composed to ensure this.
I hope Benzarti can shake more things up and get all the right people to do they’re jobs even if it isn’t his to tell them so.
